Allison Enterprises is committed to the protection of the environment. We consider the environmental impact of the materials and services we provide and are committed to the recycling of all waste materials in accordance to our Enviromental Policy. Our Environmental Policy is an active one, being an integral part of our business plan.

Environmental Policy Statement

Sustainable environmental solutions are at the heart of Allison Enterprises professional activities and culture, alongside the company's commitment to continuous improvement, in terms of its own environmental performance and the wider sustainability agenda.
Allison Enterprises considers the environmental consequences of land management and aims to maintain environmental benchmarks demonstrating best industry practice. Continuing to comply with and where possible exceed, statutory and regulatory requirements relating to the company's environmental responsibility is considered key.

Specifically Allison Enterprise will:

  • Minimise environmental hazards by the adoption of industry standard practices.
  • Minimise wherever possible the extent of harmful emissions.
  • Minimise operational waste at every opportunity.
  • Minimise the generation of emissions and waste.
  • Ensure the safe disposal of waste, including recycling where possible.
  • Implement, throughout the business, industry standard environmental practices and include environmental issues on the agenda of all training programmes.
  • Promote the recognition of environmental issues and establish their consideration at the start of the project planning stages.
  • Frequently audit the business and make aware of the best practice concerning environmental issues.
  • The use of best available techniques not entailing excessive costs (BATNEEC), sometimes referred to as best available technology, when required to prevent, minimise or render harmless the release of pollution to air, land or water.
  • Promote, advise and encourage all partner businesses to adopt and operate at a similar level.
  • Allison Enterprises deploy IS0 14031 guidelines on evaluating environmental performance as part of their own self-assessment and continual improvement strategy in the environmental consequence of their operations.
  • The responsibility for implementing, monitoring and updating this policy lies with the Director with responsibility for environmental issues.

 

Health & Safety

As a professional, landscaping company we are fully aware and understand the importance of today's health and safety requirements and all our staff receive intensive training and hold all relevant certificates of competence for all specialist equipment and materials used.

We adhere to strict health and safety guidelines to comply to the required standards of the commercial landscaping and fencing industry.

  • Staff are CITB trained for the operation of specialised machinery.

  • Each staff member is trained to Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Green Card and Registration of Landscaping Operatives (ROLO) level as a minimum requirement.

  • All on-site staff wear the appropriate safety equipment.
